Former 2015 Miss New Mexico Prepares for DCC Audition

A while back we ran an Instagram video ad that showcased our promotion for audition headshots. Every year, around this time of year, many dancers audition for the various professional sports teams in the Dallas area (i.e. Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (DCC), Allen American Ice Angels, Dallas Mavericks Dancers, Dallas Stars Ice Girls, Dallas Cowboys Rythm & Blues, etc.). Dancers from all over the country and even internationally audition for the prestigious, often replicated but never duplicated, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (DCC). Along with their CMT show called Making the Team, DCC is the most difficult dance team audition process I've ever seen.

All the way from Albuquerque, New Mexico is Marissa Livingtons- former 2015 Miss New Mexico. Marissa has been living in the Dallas area a little over a year and she's trying out for this years DCC auditions which will be held at the AT&T Studium in Arlington, TX, Saturday, May 5th. She contacted us after seeing our ad on Stephanie DiBiase's Instagram feed and allowed us to create two outstanding first impression headshots that will be uploaded this week along with her online application for the DCC auditions. Her session with us went extremely smooth and the connection between photographer and model was key in creating these images.

Using techniques created by NYC headshot extraordinaire, Peter Hurley, we were able to capture the fun-loving side of Marissa. She's full of energy, lots of laughter, and when she was in front of our cameras, she knew how to take direction very well. You can really see the experience she has had in the beauty pageant circuit.

Above: Marissa Livingston wear a beautiful blue that compliments her fun loving smile.

Above: Marissa wearing a lace top that gives us a different look, however, her smile out-shines the top and doesn't distract the entire headshot- it compliments her smile.

At the end of her 1.5 hour session, Marissa knew she came to the right place to get her headshots done. Not only will she be using these images for her DCC online application submittal, but she also plan to use these headshots for her LinkedIn profile photo. Having an up-to-date headshot is a versatile piece that can be used in various ways.

It was an honor to have worked with Marissa and we want to wish her the best of luck on her first experience audtioning for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

Please Note: the headshot images were cropped vertically instead of my usual horizontal format. DCC prints the headshots for each judge's folder and must fit the vertical format.
